THE FLOW STATE
Imagine a state of mind and experience in which time seems to stop and you are fully present, involved and fully engaged in your activity or craft. Your mind is clear. You feel fully content. You experience your full potential in the moment. You have a profound, peaceful feeling that all is well and that you are where you need to be and doing what you need to do. This is the flow state.
“It is when we act freely, for the sake of action itself rather than for ulterior motives, that we learn to become more than what we are.” ~ Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
“I kind of entered a flow state. I’ve been there before while climbing. You are not thinking ahead. You are just thinking about what is in front of you each second.” ~ Aron Ralston
“It’s all just in the moment. In the present moment. I felt like I didn’t even have any adrenaline. Usually, I just have so much more nervous tension and I felt really calm in there for some reason.” ~ Rose Namajunas
“We call this experience flow because the sensation inferred is that every action and every decision leads seamlessly and fluidly to the next it is technically defined as a state of consciousness where we feel our best and we perform our best.” ~ Steven Kotler
“You are in a state of absolute awareness without any effort.” Chase Jarvis
